Hope this message finds you in great health and spirits. As you probably know, I’m still out on tour with Kenny Loggins. Last night, we were with the jazz group, The Yellowjackets! They were amazing!! I bought one of their albums when I was in high school. Come to think of it, I think my brother turned me onto their music, as he did with a lot of other music.
Today, we are in Vancouver, BC. It is lovely town…one of my favorites. Later this week, we meet up and do some dates with Chris Isaak. I’ve been a long time fan of his, so I’ll really enjoy checking out his live show.
This tour ends on Sept. 2nd and Kenny will only have dates here and there for September. So the obvious question…what will I do with my time?!?! A few days ago I received a call to serve my country once again. I’ll be departing for Iraq in September and will be gone for a few weeks. Most of you have read and seen pictures from my last tour in Iraq, back in November’06. So why go back!? Why not? Different tour and our men and women in uniform still need entertainment. As normal, I don’t know exact locations of where we’ll be until we are in Iraq. And from previous experience, we may not know where we are going til we physically are on the ground. The artist I’ll be touring with is Granger Smith. Never really heard his music and have never met him. He and Jamie O’Neal share management, so that is how they found me. Can’t wait to share some more stories with you!!
Besides touring the world, I’ll be home focusing on writing, producing, and overseeing the financial business. The past 3 months I’ve been touring pretty heavy, so I’m looking forward to some home life.
Also want to tell you about Music Business Radio. I was recently interviewed by David Hooper, long time friend of mine. Go to MusicBusinessRadio.Com and you can download the podcast of his show. It was a lot of fun!!
As usual, thank you for coming out to see the show and saying hey!! Means a lot to me!!
Hope to see you out there on the road soon!!
Best
~Chad J.
